The countdown started when Matera was chosen to host the “News UK Travel Awards 2022” event.
So, we can’t wait for the 29th of June when winners will be revealed and prizes assigned in Matera.

The readers of The Times and Sunday Times voted one of the shortlisted entries divided in 12 categories: Best city; Best country; Best hotel; Best airline; Best ocean cruise operator; Best river cruise operator; Best luxury tour operator; Best escorted tour operator; Best tour operator.
Sponsored by the Italy National Tourist Board, for this year’s awards, three new categories were introduced: best ski operator; best emerging destination and the eco award to recognise advances in sustainable travel.

Thanks to Enit, APT Basilicata and Puglia promozione, the “News UK Travel Awards 2022” event will be hosted in Matera, and a team of travel entrepreneurs and experts will visit Basilicata and Apulia.
All of them will have a chance to discover our beautiful city and other amazing places.
